What We’re Learning-
Phonics- isolating beginning, middle vowel, and ending sounds in CVC words, blends and digraphs
Math- addition and subtraction up to 10 using manipulatives
Writing- Writing names correctly on a line with only first letter capitalized.
A few important reminders:
* As a part of Brighten Academy, each family is required to complete 20 hours of volunteer service through the school. Updates with a current number of your registered hours was sent home in your child’s report card envelope. Students may not participate in Field Day or extracurricular hours if 20 hours are not complete by May 8th. Please notify your teacher for help if needed and check the calendar for hours that are being made available to you.

- Please sign your child up for a lunch account, even if you typically pack your child’s lunch. That way if your child forgets their lunchbox or if their water bottle leaked we have a way to help them. Even if your child has an open account, if they do not use it, you will not be charged. You can sign them up at SLAlunch.com. Below is the link to pay on your child's lunch account.
